Install WinXP from USB Flash Drive

What you'll need:

download the following.

"Win to Flash application"

http://wintoflash.com/download/en/


and extract at some folder.

"Windows XP Installer"
(the bootable CD or an Image File Mounted in a virtual drive)


1. Plug you USB Flash drive. (The flash Drive must be empty)

2. Run WinToFlash.exe




3. Click the Advance Mode Tab. (you can also use Windows set up transfer wizard)




4. If you want to transfer Windows XP / 2003, just click run or you can select any other options in the drop-down list.



5. Specify the Files and Drives.

a. In the Windows Source Path, click Select Button




b. Select CD/DVD drive that contain Windows XP CD or folder that contain Windows XP files... then click OK


c. on USB Drive, Click Select Button





D. Select USB Flash Drive then click ok.






e. then click run.




6. Select " I Accepted the Terms of the Licensed Agreement " then click continue.






7. Click Ok.





8. Wait until the transfer complete.

After it completes, your flash drive already bootable windows XP installer.

just plug it then in BIOS / CMOS change the boot priority to USB Drive.

Note:
if there is not USB Drive detected in BIOS / CMOS, as a removable drive, try to check in Hard Disk Priority. Some system detected it as a hard drive after you use the wintoflash application.


Now you can boot in USB Flash Drive. After booting, just select

1st, text mode setup (Boot from flash again after finished)

Install windows XP as usual.
after it finish, boot again from USB Flash Drive and Select
2nd, GUI mode setup, continue setup + 1st start of Windows
